Goose Pond and Water Front areas are near Scottsboro. Goose Pond has a lodge, golfing, great fishing, a pay boat ramp and bait shop. Water Front has a double cabin, a free boat ramp, great fishing and the best fishing pro-shop in N Alabama. This end of Guntersville Lake typically has better fishing year round.

Located in the mid-lake area, Water Front bait and tackle has a double cabin available right next to the best fishing pro-shop in North Alabama and a free boat ramp just across the road. They also serve hot food at the store. Call 256-582-6060.

Check out The Fishin Inn Hole, a great cabin with a boat house that sleeps up to seven for $150 per night.

Also check out Woody's Lodge. Several cabins for both fishermen and hunters on the lake.
Guntersville area hotels/motels. Be sure to check out Covenant Cove lodge and marina, and eat at the famous Top of the River restaurant while in Guntersville. The Guntersville State Park is beautiful, and has camping, lodging, dining and golfing facilities.

Lake Wheeler / Decatur Alabama and Rogersville Alabama area information.

For fishing the upper end of Wheeler, the Decatur area is the best location. The Holiday Inn is closest to the lake and the fishing facilities.

Rogersville or Florence Alabama is closer to the lower end of Lake Wheeler.

The Joe Wheeler State Park area is beautiful, and has lodging, boat launching and other facilities on the low end of Lake Wheeler.
